The Hunt rises, shy at first, she flashes a smile
bright and milky above the star light’s exile
shapes grow solid, fog turns to trees and hills
Isn’t this how the world gets its thrills?
One cold night the full moon’s blaze burns
The children tremble and pray, taking turns
The sky bursts its heartbeat into buzz’n thunder
Black turning into whistling metal, going under
My sweet baby, there’s only blood for your baptize
ready for bed, after the noise and havoc slowly dies
Stay in your cellars, a howling beast is out tonight
It’s something beautiful, deadly and cruelly bright
The night shivers with autumn stars
Highways packed with abandoned cars
Dark and deep silence solidifies into absence
shifting days and nights back into balance
Wishful thinking, being covered in leafs and mud
Meat and saliva, sweet baby, this is bad blood
I was a huge white hare
with whiskers ´n long ears
trying to act normal
nervously fiddling around
with a leather jacket on
“Anything. Don´t tell them!”
I think I found hell
I think I found heaven
They told me I have nothing,
told me I´m nothing…
“Pray instead.” Take me in,
praying to whatever.
I think I can´t tell them.
I think I can´t tell the difference
aching electrifies my fingertips
bleeding from ears, and nose,
while watching a talkshow
“Don´t tell them, don´t tell anything.”
I think they already know,
they´ve killed two birds with a stone
I found hell, on my TV screen,
on my daily newspaper page
I think I found something;
that there´s nothing left for me
It made perfect sense,
only for a minute, or so…
then they gave me a carrot
and told me to behave.
